White Almond Cake with Creamy White Almond Frosting

 When I was thinking about what dessert to make for new years, I knew I wanted to make a cake. But what cake….? Then it came to me. A white almond cake! I have made this cake once before, it was SO good! One of the best cakes ever. So why not start the new year off with one of my favorite cakes! This cake does not have actual almonds in it. Just almond flavoring and almond extract. I could not find almond extract so I just used vanilla extract. If you would like to try this recipe click here. 


Appearance- This cake looks amazing! The creamy white frosting makes it look so… creamy! In my opinion the colorful sprinkles add a little touch. I would rate the appearance 5 of 5 stars! 


Taste- This is one of the tastiest cakes ever. You get a delicious, sweet white cake with the slightest taste of almonds, and a creamy, sugary, frosting to tie it all together. I would rate the taste 5 of 5 stars!


Difficulty- This cake looks hard, but it's really not! Very simple and easy. I would rate the difficulty beginner.

Overall- Overall I would rate this cake 5 out of 5 stars!

  Angel food cake is a fluffy sponge cake made with egg whites, flour, and sugar. Unlike other cakes, it doesn’t use butter. The Baker’s Corner angel food cake box comes with 2 packets and all you have to do is add 1 ⅓ cup water. I dont have an angel food cake pan so I used a bundt cake pan.   Chocolate and strawberries are a classic pair. They just go together. This recipe is great for spring and summer because you can go and pick fresh strawberries. Simple Scones

       Scones are one of my favorites! They are a great breakfast food. I added butterscotch chips into mine and it made them taste very good. I read in the comments on the recipe that you should use a food processor instead of a mixing bowl so I tried that. It really didn’t work for me because my food processor was small. If you would like to try this recipe click here. Appearance- These scones remind me of slices of pizza. They are a tan color and the butterscotch chips add some variety. I would rate the appearance 5 of 5 stars.  Taste- I think these taste really good! They do seem a bit dry and crumbly though. I would rate the taste 5 of 5 stars. Difficulty- I think making the scones in a food processor was supposed to make it easier but for me it didn't.
