Red Velvet French Macarons
It's valentine's day. That's all I need to say about why I made these. The french buttercream I made for them though, turned out a little runny and some of the macarons won't stay together. If you would like to try to make these click here . Appearance- Mine definitely don't look like store-bought macarons but I think they still look good. I must not have added enough food coloring though because mine didn't turn out quite as red as the picture. I would rate the appearance 5 of 5 stars! Taste- I think these taste really good! They have the texture of a macaron (sort-of crunchy on the outside and kind-of sticky or soft on the inside) and taste like red velvet. I would rate the taste 5 of 5 stars! Difficulty- These were easy to make but required ingredients I didn’t have (almond flour and cream of tartar) and took a bit of time. It was really helpful having a stand mixer so if you don't have one it will take a bit longer. I would rate the difficulty...
