Snowball Cookies

Image
These cookies are perfect for Christmas and winter! They are fun to make, festive, and the powdered sugar makes it look like they have snow on them. I split my dough into 3 different balls then left one as is, added chocolate chips to one, and added Christmas sprinkles to the last ball. If you want to try this recipe click here.  Appearance- The cookies look so cute and snowy! The chocolate chips/sprinkles add an extra touch to them. I would rate the appearance 5 of 5 stars.  Taste- The batter itself is not very sweet but it becomes sweeter with the powdered sugar and the sprinkles and/or chocolate chips. I would rate the taste 5 of 5 stars.  Difficulty- These cookies were not at all difficult! They were simple and easy to make. I would rate the difficulty beginner.  Overall- Overall I would rate this recipe 5 out of 5 stars!                        ...

Layered candy cane dessert

Image
Candy canes are a magical part of Christmas. Adding them into a dessert is a good idea! This dessert has 4 layers; crushed Oreo's, a cream-cheese and cool whip mixture, white chocolate pudding (but I used vanilla and it still tasted very good), and some more cool whip on top! No baking is required and it is very simple. If you would like to try this recipe click here. Appearance- This layered dessert looks amazing! The whites and reds look perfect together and the layers don't mix together so you can see them all when you cut it. I would rate the appearance 5 of 5 stars! Taste- This desert tastes absolutely amazing! Each of the layers taste perfect together and they each taste very good. I would rate the taste 5 of 5 stars!  Difficulty- This dessert was not at all difficult to make. It looks complicated but it's really not. I would rate the difficulty beginner. Overall- Overall I would rate this recipe  5 out of 5 stars!         ...

Funfetti Christmas cake roll

Image
Cake rolls are delicious! They are a great way to get frosting on all sides of your slice. This cake roll is a white cake mixed with Christmas sprinkles and cream cheese frosting. Mine did not turn out picture perfect but if you could manage to make yours this cake could be perfect for a festive party. If you would like to try out this recipe click here. Appearance- I'm a little disappointed on how this turned out. I don't know if I did something wrong, but mine turned out looking a little sad compared to the picture. But if there was not a picture to compare to I would say it turned out kinda good. I would rate the appearance 3 out of 5 stars. Taste- Even though the cake does look perfect it tastes amazing! The white cake is delicious and moist and goes perfectly with the cream cheese frosting which is also very good! I would rate the taste 5 of 5 stars!  Difficulty- This cake roll was difficult to make. Rolling it up was hard and took longer than expected to bake. I would ...

Homemade Peppermint Milkshakes

Image
This festive milkshake is one of my original recipes. It is a vanilla milkshake with crushed candy canes in it. It has a peppermint flavor. So if you would like just a vanilla milkshake skip the candy cane parts. This recipe is perfect for parties, on-the-go, or just a special treat. If you would like to try this the recipe is listed below. INGREDIENTS-  4 candy canes plus 1 for decoration OR Christmas sprinkles (optional)  About 8 scoops of vanilla ice cream 1 cup milk Whipped cream DIRECTIONS-  Start by crushing up the candy canes. Make sure to crush them small enough to fit through a straw if you will be using one. The smaller the better. Set to the side. Put the ice cream and milk into the blender. Blend until smooth.  Add crushed candy canes into the milkshake. Give it a quick whirl in the blender. Taste test if you would like. If it is not peppermint-y enough for you, add another crushed candy cane. Pour into cup(s). If there are candy canes stuck at th...

Chocolate Peppermint Bundt Cake

Image
This is actually the first ever bundt cake I made. If you do not know what a bundt cake is, it's basically a fancy cake sort of in the shape of a donut. This recipe is for a chocolate bundt cake with a chocolate glaze and crushed candy canes on top. I could not find peppermint extract so I used almond extract and it gave the cake a slight almond-y taste. Also it is too early to find candy canes so I just used some Christmas sprinkles. You can find this recipe here. Appearance- This cake looks amazing! Because this is my first time making a budnt cake, mine kinda fell apart at the top but you can't really see it because of the glaze. The dark chocolate color goes really well with the sprinkles. I would rate the appearance 5 out of 5 stars!  Taste- It not only looks good but it tastes twice as good! This is one of the best cakes I have ever made. The chocolate is sweet but not too sweet and it's rich but not too rich. I would rate the taste 5 of 5 stars! Difficulty- T...
